Water droplets naturally stick together and spread out thanks to surface tension. A superhydrophobic coating weakens that tension, causing droplets to bead and roll off the lenses, meaning fewer smudges and clearer vision.

If you’re regularly exposed to rainy conditions or spend a lot of time around water, then it’s worth it. The coating is convenient, as the water droplets run off the lenses by themselves, reducing the need to wipe your glasses clean.

Five of our eight lens packages feature a superhydrophobic coating. They each have various combinations of coatings and features so you can choose the best one for your needs.

Although it reduces the amount of water droplets that accumulate on lenses, a superhydrophobic coating will not eliminate every single drop. However, it improves visual experience when compared to uncoated lenses.
