The Orbit Glasses will only ring/beep when you tap the "Find Orbit" button in the app to locate them, or if you have the "Separation Alarm" feature turned on. You can also set "Safe Zones" which allow you to keep the Separation Alarm on, but that will not alert you while in the set Safe Zone i.e. when you are at home.
