The sometimes grunge, sometimes cheesy-but-chic trend has made a serious comeback this year. Colour-tinted sunglasses were a thing way back when the Olsen twins made their first Film and TV appearances. Now, coloured shades have shown up on almost every major cultural platform. From the runways to musical festivals, it’s truly a major look. We’ve also spotted the infamous Kurt Cobain inspired oval sunglasses (though Audrey Hepburn originally owned the look) being worn by musically-talented rebels such as the Migos crew and Harry Styles.

Join us as we take a look at the 90’s sunglasses that have made a major comeback.

This eyewear trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. They’ve been spotted in multiple colours since the beginning of spring, and have quickly become an accessory ‘fave’. Up-and-coming eyewear brand LMNT has a gorgeous sunglasses range in bright and bold colours – a perfect choice for those who are into new and refreshing looks for the summer.

One of our favourite 90’s science fiction films brought with it, an undeniable level of futuristic style and swagger. Dark and daring sunglasses – a perfect fit for the dystopian world that Neo and Trinity were tragically embroiled in. It’s as though sunglasses were worn in the Matrix to show as well as reflect the state of this imagined place. Fast-forward to almost a decade later and these sci-fi style sunglasses have now been spotted on the runway favourite street-style celebs. Opt for a pair of these Balenciaga shades and rebel against the bright side.
