Whether you are (or not) wearing glasses, there is always an opportunity to pull out those shades in the winter (cause let’s be honest, it can get quite bright outside). A few weeks ago, all fashion houses showed their F/W collections for 2018. As usual, we’re super stocked about it and can’t wait to see which eyewear trends are going to be in trend for 2018. However, 2017 isn’t over yet, so let us just show you the trends of this year’s F/W.

What’s your style?

For this fall, there are four different styles that caught our attention: retro, urban, business and clean cut (for the minimalists among us). Every style is easy to distinguish due to the shape of frames, the materials and colours. To make sure you all understand what I exactly mean, we pulled up a few visuals. We will show you our two favorite glasses (men and women’s) and two favorite sunglasses that match each style. Go on then! Read on to find your style.

Retro: Classic, but never boring

Old trends evolve into new trends through implementing and adding new elements to it. However, the retro trend is hard to distinguish from the style back in the day. Why? Well, it’s hard to tell which glasses are bought or are actually old. Those pair of Aviators that your grandpa used to wear in the 1960’s? Totally back in trend. We selected a few of our favorites down below (you can also opt for glasses without prescription) so you can live for all the retro vibes.

1. Prada PR55TV 2. Ray-Ban RX5283 3. Tom Ford FT0527 4. Tom Ford FT0541

Urban: New Perspectives

Ever been to Berlin or Rotterdam? Well if you haven’t, be sure to check it out soon, cause this style derives from the modern cities in which modern architecture is a huge influence on the style. The millennials within this city are really into this trend (especially if you’re a design or marketing student, no offense). This style is also very similar – or actually even clashes with the ‘hypebeast’ style. Think of: white, black and grey hues combined with modern lines and shapes. Don’t understand what I mean? Check out the styles below:

1. Tom Ford FT5401 2. Ray-Ban RX5279 3. Celine CL 41090/S 4. Ray-Ban RB3546 186

Business: looking smart, but never boring.

If you hear the word ‘business’ the first thing that comes to your mind is boring and not trendy. But that’s not the case! This season, extravagant frames and soft hues are all the talk for women. For men, office colours and different frame materials are trending. So if you ever thought that office wear is boring, please think again.

1. Gucci GG 3780 2. Ray-Ban RX6363 3. Prada PR27OS 4. Ray-Ban RB3025

Clean cut: gender friendliness

The time for freedom and gender friendliness has finally arrived. We’ve waited for this moment to come for so long, but it’s freakin’ here now! Wanna buy a T-shirt at the men’s department? No problem. If you as a guy don’t fit into the men’s jeans since you don’t live up to the average – who cares? Get a pair of jeans at the women’s department. Everybody (most of us, we’re not completely there yet) accepts each other for who they are. Be as you are! So, here we present to you 2 glasses and 2 sunglasses, both suitable for men and women.

1. Ray-Ban RX3447V 2. Ray-Ban RX5121 3. Celine CL 41077/S 4. Ray-Ban RB2448N
