When Male fashion Goes Awry
Filed Under Celebrities & Eyewear, Designer Sunglasses, Eyewear Knowledge
Robert Pattinson looks particularly ridiculous in these Ray Bans. Tsk, tsk. We would have thought he knew better than to dress like someone from the Geek Squad. They make his head look like it isn’t proportional, and the hat-glasses combo is a bit amateurish, even for him. We’d much rather see him in a more modern look, possibly Armani, that is also more adjusted to his age and stature. Additionally, his lighter hair could really use a dye job and we’d even go so far as to suggest a subtle goatee to really give him a more adult, more serious and edgy masculine look.
And another middle-aged man whose look could use some serious attention is the recent sell-out Luke Wilson, who spends his days doing cell phone ads instead of cinema. His recent weight gain and unflattering haircut leave many wondering if he has completely jumped off the deep end. And those sunglasses? Luke Wilson in these Carerra-like Von Zipper shades just makes himself look more contrived and fake than he normally comes across. While he had his heyday in films like Idiocracy and Old School, the poor man has hit Hollywood rock bottom, and his fashion is acting as tell-tale signs of a quick decent.
Russell Crowe in Bvlgari looks acceptable, especially with the new Robin Hood haircut. However, as this action star ages, we were hoping to see him keep some fragments of his youth with more lively fashion. Despite this, we like the look and would also recommend Serengeti for this Hollywood wonder.
