Celebrity Kid’s Sunglasses

uk0814.JPGDakota Fanning, the inspired young actress best known for her role in ‘I am Sam’ has donned a pair of very unsurprising Ray Ban Wayfarers. The style is youthful, bright and yet fashionable, all the things a child star content on using her youth to her advantage when landing amazing roles that are well above her age bracket. She has proved her competence more than once as a child star, but this overachieving kid is quickly turning into an adult who will have to face the reality that looks, more than talent and skill, are what land the big bucks in Hollywood.

Ray Bans seem to be in season for the youthful tweens, as Hayden Panettiere, of Heroes, has been spotted in all of Ray Ban’s biggest styles, including the Wayfarer, Aviator and Clubmaster. While the style is a bit heavy for Hayden’s features, the look is a decidedly middle-road one, where Hayden will not raise too many eyebrows for being overly womanly too soon, and yet avoid looking too childish, as Dakota Fanning sometimes does.

Hillary Duff, who bean on the Nickelodeon channel, has found herself at an age between adulthood and childhood. While other child stars have taken the less controversial approach of extending their youth and thus elongating their careers, Hillary Duff has thrown caution to the wind by wearing ever more revealing clothing and designer eyewear from Dior. She even wears the ever risqué Dita sunglasses as well as Chanel.
Teenaged stars who get their start early on tend to fizzle out unless they play their cards right. It seems as though Hayden may be a one-hit-wonder while Hillary may fizzle out as too ‘cliché Hollywood’ to be of any usefulness in cinema or music. Dakota, however, shows promise as a serious actress who is not yet type-cast nor overly ‘typical’ of the female elite.
