Youth and vibrancy are two of the most sought after physical and mental traits. Naturally, you are only as old as you allow yourself to feel, but in other’s eye you are only as old as you look. Take Lance Armstrong, for example, he slaps on a pair of Oakley sunglasses, tight pants and a smile and suddenly he is 25 again. Stay youthful and young by dressing and acting the part—you’d be surprised how much a few changes in your wardrobe and routine can affect your entire outlook.

Looking the part. Try making a few minor changes in your wardrobe this year and see how that can alter your mood and outlook. First, do something new with your hair. If its always been short then grow it out. If its always been straight then perm it. Do the opposite of ‘you.’ Second, treat yourself to a few designer items that will make you feel special and youthful, like the ever-classic Ray Ban sunglasses, or that necklace from Tiffany’s you’ve been coveting. Whatever it is, go youthful and go all the way. You deserve it.

Acting the part. When you wake up in the morning, don’t let yourself become aware of your aches and pains, instead, think of all the parts of your body that feel good and well rested. Starting your day off with a good attitude will help you feel young again. If you are hanging around with people who always complain about their age, you need to consider finding a more youthful crowd. Who you are friends with can say a lot about you, and can affect the way you view the world.

Going grey with dignity is much easier now than in previous years. You could always dye your hair and wear the latest Miu Miu fashion, but who wants to pretend to be something they are not? You could also slather yourself with wrinkle-defying cream, but who wants to live attached to a mirror or overly concerned with appearing the age they are. Age signifies wisdom, experience, fortitude and a wealth of information, and it is something to be proud of rather than embarrassed of. So, rather than shy away from the grey, here are a few ways to embrace it, accessorize it, and be proud of it.

A great way to accessorize with silver hair is to work with contrast. Rather than buying duller colors like grey or pastels, go bold and dress up your age with black tops or jewel tones. This will highlight your grey hair and give it vibrancy and charm. The more you play with your natural skin and hair colors, instead of against them, the more attractive the end result will be.

In terms of eyewear, throw away any eyeglasses that are silver, frameless or bland. Toss some fun into your look with bright eyeglasses that are cutting edge, bold and complement your natural colors. The modern designs by Alexander McQueen are especially nice. You might also consider Tom Ford’s collection of dark and black eyeglasses, which will complement your grey nicely and add a modern touch.

A final touch—don’t overly coordinate your jewelry. No body wants to see someone in all one color with all matching jewelry, instead mix and match and make your own unique look.

Many visually impaired people consider the choice between contact lenses and eyeglasses a difficult one. Perhaps this is because they associate several problems with applying or caring for contact lenses over the relative ease of eyeglasses. With brands like Focus and Air Optix in the contact lens business, rest assured that any problem you could imagine has been envisioned by design and optometry experts and solved prior to the lenses hitting the shelves.

For example, many early complaints about contact lenses revolved around the comfort of the lenses when applied. To solve this issue, designers have made softer, more flexible lenses that adhere to the shape of your eye thus decreasing friction and discomfort.

Another problem many worry about is the application of contact lenses. You’ll see people in cinema act out a harrowing ordeal attempting to insert a lens, when in reality they are designed to slip in and out of the eye only when confronted with a dry surface (aka, your application finger). Thus, lenses stay secure when they are meant to, and can easily be applied or removed.

A third problem many anticipate is the cost of contact lenses exceeding eyeglasses. This is also a misconception. Wile contact lenses can be expensive depending on the brand or prescription; by and large the cost is relative to eyeglasses, which also need to be replaced yearly. Basic lenses, solution and a storage case will run you roughly the same amount as a designer set of eyeglasses for a year. And while many people feel insecure in their glasses, you’ll hardly hear people complain about their insecurities with their contact lenses. In fact, do you have any friends who are disappointed with the choice they made to switch to contacts?

Tag Heuer has announced the imminent launch of a new designer line of eyewear modeled after the athletic and fashionable life and style of Tennis superstar Maria Sharapova. This isn’t the first time Tag Heuer has had celebrity assistance in designing or endorsing a new line or eyewear, but this is a unique situation given Sharapova’s elite status in the fashion and sporting communities.

The sunglasses come in two styles, an aviator design and a larger, more fashionable oval-eye design. Sharapova’s signature is etched into the lenses while the Tag Heuer logo is bold on the left temple bar. The color options are limited to three, but with designer eyewear like these a lot of thought went into the color choices. You can purchase your own exquisite set in black with gradient or grey lenses, or in ivory with blue lenses. Two other options are tortoiseshell with brown lenses or eggplant with pink lenses. All of these design choices can accompany a broad range of outfits and designer looks, and were limited to these specifications based on today’s hottest fashion trends as well as Sharapova’s lifestyle and sophisticated charm.

In Britain’s For Him Magazine FHM, Maria Sharapova ranked 7th as the most eligible bachelorette in regards to looks and wealth—both of which Maria is greatly endowed with. She was ranked the highest paid female athlete in the world, pulling in $26 million a year, USD. And her endorsements make a luxurious lifestyle easy for this beautiful Amazonian athlete. She has won three Grand Slam championships as well as several smaller tournaments, and is one of Tennis’ most visible and reliable spokeswomen.
