For those of you who are justifiably health conscious, follow these simple steps to take care of your body in the most comprehensive of ways.
Protect your Eyes—Getting high-quality sunglasses by a brand name like Oakley or Ray Ban can ensure your eyes have the protection they need from damaging ultraviolet rays and damaging light variations. To ensure your eyes stay healthy, get a checkup yearly and make sure your prescription lenses are accurate. Wear sunglasses when outdoors at all times, even when it seems the sun isn’t bothersome.
Protect your Skin— For a longer life, younger look, and healthier you, then wear sunscreen, wear a hat and sunglasses, and keep your skin moist and clean. Your skin is an organ every bit as important as those inside you!
Get the right Nourishment – No bit of health advise is complete without the mention of vitamins and minerals, ensure you get the nourishment you need by supplementing your healthy diet with a multi vitamin, or at the least a cod liver oil pill (nature’s cure all).
Exercise is king – Everyone says it, and everyone knows it, but very few actually follow through on the doctor’s advice and start exercising. Instead of wasting your time creating routines you’ll never follow, just keep your health in mind and take the stairs whenever possible. Park your car far away from the store and carry your bags, and always wear shoes that permit walking for just this purpose.
Treat yourself – Every once in a while its healthy to treat yourself to one of your passions, whether it be chocolate, beer or another unhealthy food. Remember life is supposed to be fun, but its more enjoyable when healthy. Treat yourself sporadically, keeping in mind that health is its own reward, and you’ll ensure that you stay motivated and energetic about your new health kick.

For most people, finding the perfect contacts is a nightmare. Air Optix or Avaira lenses? Many people don’t even know the difference between disposable or reusable contact lenses.
The first thing to consider is what you are looking for with your contacts. Do you want cosmetic lenses, corrective lenses, reusable lenses or disposables? Think about exactly what you want from your product and then do a few online searches to see what suits your needs.
Secondly, think about the additives you could have with your contacts. If you do want prescription lenses, would you also want to add a cosmetic element? If you have blue eyes naturally, you could enhance the blue with a light blue overlay, which just makes your eyes look brighter, if not more enhanced. You could also change your color, the best option is if you have light eyes and want to change to a darker or more enhanced look.
Thirdly, consider if you’ll be on the move or in a stable routine. If you have a nice routine than reusable contacts are a great option for you. If you have an active lifestyle, or are on the road then disposable contacts would be better because you can toss the old ones and put in fresh eyewear each morning. For swimmers, runners or other athletes, disposables are much better.
Finally, don’t skimp on your eyewear, whether they be glasses, sunglasses, corrective surgery or contact lenses. You’ll be able to find something that suits your needs in the designer industry, where quality goes hand in hand with style.

New York Fashion Week Review
Filed Under Brand Wave, Designer Sunglasses | View Comments
New York Fashion Week is in full swing in Bryant Park, with celebrity designers like Marc Jacobs, Oscar de le Renta, Rodriguez, Donna Karan and more from around the world converging to debut their designs and absorb other designer’s creativity. What was revealing this season, and unlike years previous, was the amount of attention to accessories like belts, sunglasses, purses and shoes. With the economicdownturn still in effect, consumers are buying name-brand accessories rather than entire outfits, forcing designers to focus on the often-overlooked genre of fashion.
Marc Jacobs debuted stunning sunglasses in his 2010 line, thick, full-bodied and unique to go along with his ruffle themed designs. From angelic to modern and flashy, Marc Jacobs seems to have captured a design for everyone, from every angle. His designs are surely going to appear in retail stores, albeit remade and subdued, soon.
With accessory sales on the rise, and clothing sales on the wane, designers are paying ever more attention to detail. The world’s premiere designers are accessorizing in a major way this year, and not with purses, which was the traditional accessory of choice of yesteryear. This year the biggest accessory is large hair and large sunglasses. Get the look by cashing in on these fashion trends early. Marc Jacobs sunglasses are in, as are Alexander McQueen and Versace. The bigger the better, and the more unique the more fashion-friendly this season. An interpreted view of the clothing designs presented during fashion week conclude that big is back in style. Big hair, big sunglasses, larger-than-life style with ruffles, bows, frills and layers galore will all be present in fashion designs this season and for 2010.

Ultimate Autumn Accessories
Filed Under Brand Wave, Designer Sunglasses, Eyewear Knowledge | View Comments
Want to stay fashionable this fall without breaking the piggy bank? Here are a few tips on how to accessorize for fall, and optimize your look on a budget. For the truly adventurous and fashion-forward folks, Ray Ban Aviators are a must this fall. Without these, you mind as well kiss your persona of “fashion diva” goodbye.
Another option, albeit lesser to the Ray Ban Aviator’s status, is the thick temple-bar style that comes with thicker sweaters and winter the approach of jean-worthy weather. While we expect boots to make a massive comeback after a few years in hiatus, these need to be properly proportioned with fashionable weight on the upper part of the body either with fluffy and colorful scarves or thicker sunglasses. For the best thick-temple bar look check out Prada’s 2009-2010 collection, which really exemplifies the autumn look.
For a third option, you could don wireless frames, which help to prolong the summer feel of the season until its absolute latest possible date. Some of the best wireless looks are from Ralph Lauren and Nike, whose wireless lines far surpass any other name-brand designer’s. If you choose the wireless route make sure you don’t put too much fashion weight on the upper half of our body, which could result in making your head look like the least important part of your body (which it isn’t!).
Whatever look you are going for this fall keep these few handy tips in mind: Ray Bans are always in style, Prada’s thick-temple look is emerging this Autumn in full swing, and wireless frames by Nike and Ralph Lauren will rock any professional Autumn look.
